New post coming up soon – I do promise. Sorry I have been so long away.
This – or these – are my main excuse.
Oh, so cute, but up at 5am mewling like seagulls and and running all OVER the place….
But, hey – just look at that newly-treated wooden floor…. and outside that door the porch is almost finished. The first nice day (it was blowing a gale today), I’ll take some more photos and update things properly. It’s been far too long.
In the meantime, those puppies need feeding…. and playing with…. and cleaning up after…. LOTS of cleaning up after….
Thanks for all the lovely comments – and for your patience.
Night night.

This shall be me in a year, when we plan to let our spaniel become a mum. Have to say though you’re not selling it to me!
Have you managed to find them all homes, or are you keeping them?!
Lovely wooden floors.
I have only just found your blog and I am green with envy.
You have done really well and worked so hard, your home is coming together lovely.

I found your blog thru a link on yarnstorm’s blog… and then spent HOURS reading every entry and all your articles…
what a dream house! and to live vicariously thru all your posts …. sigh… if you ever need a caretaker….
What an adorable hill of dogs.
Oh, those puppies are adorable!
Dear Elspeth,
It makes my day, reading about your adventures, it is like having a friend in my beloved England!
Wonderful, good luck, can’t wait for more posts.
Hello Elspeth,
Thanks for taking the time and trouble to visit Willow House and recommend highdeserthome to me. I’ve found myself spending quite a lot of time reading back posts on that blog.
I found you through http://cupcakesathome.blogspot.com/
When I was a child a friend of mine had an old railway carriage on the farm and we used to play in it. I vividly recall eating Refresher sweets in there one afternoon after school. Eversince I’ve found the idea of living in a railway carriage quite enchanting so will be following your blog avidly.
Regards
Carolyn
One puppy through the summer has been a time thief. Can’t imagine what so very many can be like!. Ours is sleeping now, curled on a sheepskin, after running on the beach and falling in rockpools this morning.
Love your carriage. Magical.
