I've answered my own question! - I was just finding it difficult to navigate my way through the blog and various sites. Sorry. Glad the carriages are staying in Pevensey.

Sorry if you've spelt this out somewhere, but are the carriages to be incorporated in your new home?

Dear Elspeth

I love your blog and read with great interest. Returning to a slower pace of life seems to be a great way to go - well at least for the weekends! I read your books that you write with Tricia Guild with great interest too. I have an idea for a book and I wondered if you would be interested in working with me on it. I have no previous experience other than writing wise I have written a novel before that was represented by Pollinger Ltd. Unfortunately we found no-one to actually publish it - bum! I am telling you this to show you my level of commitment to a project. If you would perhaps be interested you could drop me a line via my email - whisty@btinternet.com. I would rather not discuss my idea here on your open comment page.
I look forward to hopefully hearing from you.

Many thanks and best wishes Emma

The colors in your photographs are so lovely, both the pale, seaside hues of your train/home (and what beautiful shapes the carriages give the rooms you make in them!) and the richer colors of your egg tree. Thank you for sharing them. I'm looking forward to watching your renovation and wish you lots of luck and patience.

hi x

a kind fellow blogger passed on your link to me as we seem to be going through a similar process!
my partner and i and an ever increasing amount of animals (!) are building an Eco house on the very North East Coast of Scotland - we are building from new but i am a true reclaimed/vintage girl at heart, so i look at your build with a little envy!
we have been searching for a railway carriage or suitable old boat to put on our land to convert in to a place for friends to stay and me to work in - as yet no luck.

i am so pleased to meet you and will watch your build with wide eyed wonder x
hope you can visit our adventure too x

I don't suppose you want a lodger do you? :-)

Looks gorgeous. Hoping for lots of work-in-progress pictures, I'm interested to see how you are going to develop the carriages into a permanent home. Lots of details please!

Greetings from beautiful West Michigan, USA, where spring is slipping in slowly! I'm so glad I found your blog. I look forward to your remodeling project. You seem to be taking the same approach as Sarah Susanka and the Not So Big House, something I love very much, and adding eco friendliness to it. Thanks for sharing with us all!
